Emmanuel Eboué (born 4 June 1983) is an Ivorian professional football player who currently plays for French Ligue 2 club RC Strasbourg Alsace. A natural right back, he is also able to play at right wing. First representing his national team in 2004, he played a stint at Arsenal between 2005 and 2011 and is regarded as a "club icon" according to former Arsenal striker Ian Wright, due to his eccentric behaviour and unorthodox playing style.
He made 132 league appearances for Arsenal during his time in North London, before joining Turkish champions Galatasaray in 2011. He was released in December 2015, and joined Premier League team Sunderland in March 2016, but failed to make an appearance for the club due to a six month ban imposed by FIFA, after failure to pay his agent the correct fees during his time in Turkey. He left Sunderland in May 2016, and trained with Bournemouth during the summer, finally signing for them in September. He made four appearances for the team before signing for French Ligue 2 team RC Strasbourg.
